Subang PG was simply refreshing! by alextan1

I paid a visit to the Subang PG. This is one PG known for its humour, warmth and less expensive eating spots! :-) …which works for many!

It was good to have met Esther, Kai Ling’s colleague, who joined us for the 1st time! The rest of the attendees were Jia Wern (PG Coordinator with Kai Ling), Kai Ling, Matthew Chang (visiting) and Shereen (who joined us at the very last minute! :-)

Kai Ling share of her job testimony. But this testimony also came with a prayer request; to see a completion of the testimony (in terms of leave, etc). I had the privilege to pray for different needs represented around the table (healing, family situatio, stress). Jian wern also prayed for me and i was refreshed too! God’s presense is real even in a stuffy coffeeshop! :-) That’s why we believe in meeting up as YWAs wherever we are and allowing His love to refresh His people in the middle of the week!

Keep up the good work Subang PG! Keep up the visitations in SJMC too!

Blessings, Pr Alex

Hi,

Haha. This week lagi crazy. 3 tables. Wait, listen first.

We started off with 3 people on the table:

1) Ronson

2) Yen Shan

3) Me

Yen Shan was sharing about her grandma mischievously telling her that she wants to believe in Jesus (new soul, rejoice!), when suddenly:

4) Shereen

appeared. She brought along a friend from her workplace, an intern. Initially, we sat on different tables. Then the first 3 of us got up, brought our drinks and sat with Shereen and:

5) Jamie

who is a local from Kampung Subang (that’s what she says). Meanwhile,

6) Mei Ling

7) Su Sian

dropped in and started a new table for lunch too. Su Sian is currently doing A Levels but is in SJMC to observe. Mei Ling’s protege. I rotated between the tables as:

8) Wern Lu

appeared! She was going to SJMC later so she joined us for lunch. Yay!

As we were talking about next week’s change of PG time (next week’s Wednesday!) and discussed of our Sunway-SJ-USJ combined PG dinner locations, Jamie suggested that we try a shop near La La Chong (Subang Airport) that is serves the same food but cheaper. Shereen, I’ll wait till she is more familiar with us first, then I’ll add her into the mailing list. No worries.

So there. Love this week’s PG

The organizers have put an age bracket to those who can attend: 17-25 year olds. But I know that many of our YWAs are also not older than 25 years old! Is there anyone of you or anyone in your PGs that would be keen on going? Ticket price is RM20. Do let me or pr sandra know asap ya? Coz they will have to confirm ticket sales by this Friday.

Last Friday’s PG was held at Pan’s Bakery. I think this is quite a good place to hold PG meetings as it is usually not that busy, rather spacious and quiet…. with a wide array of cuisine to choose from too!

11th July Acts Subang PG’s roll call is as follows:

1) Jia Wern
2) Kai Ling Che
3) Shereen Khoo
4) Ronson (a round of applause for being the 1st to arrive!)
5) Jason Martin
6) Kuan Cheen
7) Joel Vijay
8) Alvin

9) Wan Mui Quan (Kai Ling’s colleague)

Although a few of the regulars could not make it on that day, praise God that quite a number of people from AYA were able to join us this time. So, to all fellow members of AYA out there, do make ur presence known and add spice to our PG!

If ACTS Church is the most happening church in Subang, there’s no reason why Subang-USJ PG should not be the most happening PG in ACTS Church! =p

On other note, as mentioned previously, Jia Wern has proposed to change PG meetings to Wed instead. So, people, kindly advise!

Greetings people!

After being unknowingly elected as the pengerusi majlis by the self-declared Dato’, I think I should at least be doing something for the PG.
Hence, me writing this week’s newsletter…..lolz

Anywayz, our PIC, Ms Che, has decided to meet up at Pan’s Bakery (apparently it’s strategically located near Hassan’s).
And yes….the time is 1pm!

On other note, we have discussed over the last PG meeting the possibility of changing our PG to Wednesday.
Firstly for a change, and secondly because most people are in a rush on Fridays. What do you all reckon? Do cast a vote or speak up in the next PG!

See you there!

Unrelated note : I was really blessed by Pastor Alex’s msg on 2015 and believe that most of us who attended felt the same too.
And Ms Che, thou art so bootiful that night….ahaha…face red again!

Regards,

^_^

Great stuff!

Now that both parties are mobilized, let the FUN begin! I’m glad that everything went well over there, Mich. We had fun our side too!

“Aren’t you guys out for yours eh? We’re all supporting your bunnies over there too! Anyways… just back in and we had an awesome blossom possum PG. Right, Elaine? Right, Ken? Yep, so it became the Power of Three today. Great start, I say.” – Datin Michelle

This week we had 5 of us over here. Ronson was able to make it for the first time too (dude never went to a single PG in his life before):

1) Pengerusi Majlis Shereen Khoo Sue Jin

2) Secretariat Chee Kai Ling

3) Wakil Rakyat SS14 Aidan Chung (tetamu undangan)

4) Timbalan Pengerusi Majlis Janaronson

5) Datuk Kok Jia Wern (drebar tak kerja, kena jalan kaki)

Great time of sharing too! Best example of the day:

“Later there’s this American Military rock band performing in Taylor’s. I’m a little worried about it. But I hope it’s all good.” - Ronson

Hey, USJ folks! Yes, you! We want to see you!

SJ-USJ PG Meet Up 4th July 2008 by jiawern

Dear Subang Jaya-USJ PG members,

This just in: This week Sunway divorces SJ-USJ.

Tuesday, 1st July – Today marks the day where the two parties mentioned – Sunway on this side of the ring; and SJ-USJ on the other side, pack up their bags and move on with their lives on their separate ways. The parent party PG will continue to oversee the children PGs as they operate weekly. An executive board was formed last week to address the issue.

An unnamed correspondent from the SJ-USJ party has nominated State Assemblyman Datuk Kok Jia Wern to oversee the progress for their side. Said Datuk Kok: “the condition of the current coalition is stagnating” and “progress must be made to stem familiarity which leads to boredom” via methods of “divide and conquer”. He will miss the current influx of party members but is “positive” about the unmerging, to say the least.

The SJ-USJ party will meet this week on Friday at SS15′s Kwai Sun Restaurant at 1pm for their AGM to discuss this matter.

Datin Michelle Gan was promoted recently to head up the movement of her party in the Sunway vacinity in light of recent events. Datin Michelle, head of forensics department of her workplace, also leads a team of 10 rabbits in prayer everyday. Supporting her is her loyal fan, which only wishes to be known as ‘Can Sing’.

“I believe in her. Thoroughly. She can do it”.

With such enthusiasm within her supporters, what party would not prosper?

Resources nevertheless have failed to mentioned that both parties have plans to meet-up to negotiate child custodian-related issues once every 2 months. This is to encourage the commonly shared children get adequate fellowship between the PGs. Dinners will be organized around the locus of Sunway-SJ-USJ to cater to all their children.

Sitting alone on his chair on top of an unnamed skyscrapper, Datuk Kok had only this to say to the reporters yesterday to his party members:

“You see what’s out there? That’s immortality. Take it. It’s your’s.”

As of next week, he will cease to send anymore messages to everyone. -Reuters

Discover Life! A 2015 Event

In other related news, parent party group ACTS CHURCH will be having an event that caters to the Young Working Adults this Saturday. This event, questionably named 2015, will touch on the issues of teenage life wif kids, current politics and soul searching the New Age way. Asian Youth Ambassadors, the organizers for the event, have failed to mention why a youth corporation would undertake a young adult project of this magnitude. Pastor Alex Tan, the CEO of the company was not available to comment during press time.

Participants are encouraged to be at The Acts Church, 2nd Floor, Summit Hotel USJ by 7:30pm.

Details of the event can be viewed via advertisement below. – Bernama
